Understanding and tracking levels of employee engagement
There is understandable cynicism surrounding the value of employee consultation. In our view, this is a legacy of poorly executed programmes.
In the past such consultations were often undermined by being performed irregularly and irrelevantly. Many programmes lacked credibility with those consulted often unconvinced that their views were really valued by management. Many programmes used mechanisms which allowed for only cursory view gathering and were resource-heavy, yet ponderously slow to publish results - or to connect future plans with feedback.
However, intelligently designed and properly applied research provides a valuable opportunity for those leaders who are serious about connecting with employees to understand their audience.
At The Company Agency, we do exactly this. Our approach focuses on the need to gather large amounts of relevant, focused and interactive feedback quickly, whether virtually or through well-planned live events.
We emphasise the need to process feedback and deliver findings fast. This more dynamic, involving approach reflects positively on leadership teams, increasing employee buy-in and performance.
